U.S. Bancorp Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q2


Investing.com – U.S. Bancorp reported on Friday second quarter earnings that beat analysts’ forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.

U.S. Bancorp announced earnings per share of $1.09 on revenue of $6.01B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $1.06 on revenue of $5.92B.

U.S. Bancorp shares are down 21.22% from the beginning of the year, still down 30.39% from its 52 week high of $63.57 set on January 13. They are under-performing the S&P 500 which is down 20.47% from the start of the year.

U.S. Bancorp’s report follows an earnings missed by JPMorgan on Thursday, who reported EPS of $2.76 on revenue of $30.72B, compared to forecasts EPS of $2.94 on revenue of $31.82B.

Morgan Stanley had missed expectations on Thursday with second quarter EPS of $1.44 on revenue of $13.13B, compared to forecast for EPS of $1.57 on revenue of $13.39B.
