Norway stocks lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.97%

0 – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life SciencesTechnology Hardware & Equipment and Auto & components sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.97%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which rose 2.21% or 0.37 points to trade at 16.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 2.03% or 5.20 points to end at 261.40 andSubsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was up 0.61% or 0.7 points to 106.7 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 6.14% or 2.90 points to trade at 44.32 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 3.15% or 1.04 points to end at 32.02 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was down 2.90% or 1.98 points to 66.32.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 170 to 42 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.15% or 1.04 to 32.02.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.46% or 0.90 to $60.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.12% or 0.79 to hit $69.83 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.04% or 13.35 to trade at $1300.75 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.62% to 9.8513, while USD/NOK rose 0.64% to 8.7675.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 97.105.
